The Tigersharks are a non-profit organization which started in the fall of 1998 as part of the Farmington Community Education. It was know at the time that the Tigersharks would be on it's own after one year with Community Ed. So, in the fall of 1999, the Farmington Tigersharks Swim Club became a independent organization.

The mission of the
Tigersharks Swim Club is to foster
a positive attitude toward competitive swimming, to help boys and girls ages school age -18 develop interpersonal skills and to promote good sportsmanship and team spirit.  We believe that competitive swimming builds a positive self-image, enables boys and girls to experience success through self-discipline and improvement, and promotes proper physical conditioning through training.  We also believe in having fun!

The Tigersharks Swim Club is a competitive swim program that practices at the Farmington Middle School West swimming pool.  The Tigersharks are coached by Dion Erbes, a coach who has trained swimmers to the national level of competition and Doug Horton.  The Farmington Tigersharks Swim Club operates on a year-round basis. Training is available for swimmers of all ages and abilities from mid-September through mid-March and Mid-April through July.
